Heritage

At Tanners, Heritage are a fundamental part of our musical history. Four part harmony with a changing line up over the years of Tim Dowd, Paul Flannery, Roy Bryan, Mary Foulkes, Clare Gerard and Pete Cunningham. Looking online, I couldn’t find much information except for this fastinating conversation on Narchive:
Anyone remember Heritage?

They were an a cappella vocal quartet who put out an LP called “Living by the
Air” in 1982 — I bought it after hearing “Banks of the Nile” on (of all
things) John Peel’s show.

They were (and are) possibly the best such group I’ve heard. They’re
distinguished by (among other things) a) having a much better grasp of
counterpoint than average, and b) being spot on pitch.

Their names were Peter, Paul, Tim and Mary. However, beyond the fact that they
were Londoners and that Pete’s name was Cunningham, there’s hardly any more
information.

The record was on the Plant Life label, but seems to have sunk without trace.

I later bought a CD called “Tell tae me” by Heritage, but it was by a
completely different group.

Anyone have any more information, or know what they’re doing now? … the conversation then goes on to piece together tiny scraps of information about our friends!
